At Lacnor, quality forms the backbone of our manufacturing division. We have set global standards and have gone beyond them. This dedication to quality manufacturing has resulted in superior and safe products leading to being the first food production facility in UAE to receive an international HACCP certificate of quality.

The quality process begins much before the manufacturing process - right from the selection of quality raw materials. And it is monitored through the following quality systems.

HACCP
Lacnor follows the universally recognized and accepted method for food safety assurance - HACCP. This in turn with Product and Environment Monitoring satisfies the international standards outlined in Codex Alimentarius Alinorm 97/13A and the food safety requirements regulated by the Sharjah Municipality.

UHT
UHT simply translates as Ultra High Temperature. UHT is a gentle process whereby a product is heated for a few seconds and then cooled down as quickly. The product is then sterile and the nutritional value and original taste are retained without chemicals, preservatives, microwaves or other radiation being used. If the product is filled under sterile conditions, in a sterile package which is sealed so that it protects the contents from the surroundings, then the result is an aseptic product.

An aseptic package keeps out the "bad" (light, oxygen, bacteria) and keeps in the "good" (nutritional value, vitamins, taste). The heart of the aseptic process is to sterilize the product and package individually, to fill the product in the package and to seal it in a sterile environment without the product being re-infected by micro-organisms.

Aseptic processing in combination with aseptic packaging is the most tested and reliable technique for increasing the shelf-life of food without adding chemical preservatives. This is possible when both product and packaging material are free from growing micro-organisms. The process consists of three stages; 1) heat treating the product, 2) sterilizing the packaging material and then 3) filling and sealing under sterile conditions so that the product is not re-infected. It is a complicated process with narrow margins for mistakes - it does concern bacteria after all - and it normally requires well-trained staff. On the other hand this is guarantee for product safety.

All products processed by Lacnor with the UHT technique have kept all the "good" inside to offer you the best in every pack! This is the promise we have kept for you, our consumers, for more than 25 years, and it will remain complete!
